Design explanatory statementA villa in one of the more beautiful places in North Brabant. A place to unwind and retreat from the daily worries. Centrally located is a shared living room and kitchen with a view of the surroundings. The location of the house requires refined architecture and subtle choices of materials. It has a modest volume that blends in with its surroundings. Given the location, the experience of the surrounding nature; the forest and heath extra attention. All facades are predominantly open in character, except for the front façade on the public side. Sightlines optimally strengthen contact with the outside. Daylight enters the various rooms all around, direct or tempered. Through light openings in the sloping roofs, diffuse light also falls into the extra-high common areas. project details:ca. 270 m2 BVO
